Small terrace.Grand view garden: Liang-Lou Han Donation Exhibition

Liang-Lou Han was good at "gathering cities." In a fine and dense network of civilization, she saw diverse types of people, historical experiences, cultural memories, and ways to preserve the spatiotemporal track of a city which exuded the charming vitality. In the summer of 2006, she lived in an apartment with a small terrace in the southern part of Taipei City. She created the "South Village" and became an "urban storyteller". On the streets, she revealed the City's history and stories, as well as her love and observation of the land.

Manuscript of "Developing an In-Depth Journey for Female Travelers", donated by Chuan-Pin Chu. Liang-Lou Han’s analysis showed that the number of female travelers in the world is large, especially singles in their twenties and thirties, as well as women in the empty nest stage in their fifties. Sensual packages for female tourists can be specially designed, such as cafes, bookstores, essential oil massages, traditional markets, etc.

Manuscript of "Provence / Love Letters of the Private Journey", donated by Chuan-Pin Chu. Liang-Lou Han’s analysis showed that "the fever of Provence" lies in its special geographical location and historical colonial factors. In addition to the Roman Empire ruins, some areas still preserve the Italian and North African styles, forming a rich and historical multi-culture, and attracting travelers from all over the world.

Manuscript of "Dublin Revival", donated by Chuan-Pin Chu. Through her friend Jack in London, Liang-Lou Han knew the modern witch "Mia" who lived in Dublin and knew the magic of ancient Ireland. She believed that with the experience of the New Renaissance movement in recent years, Dublin is full of energy. The article was published in United Daily News Supplement in 2007.

"Kangqinglong Traveler Handbook", provided by Chuan-Pin Chu. Liang-Lou Han cooperated with the Tourism Bureau of the Ministry of Transportation and Communications to promote the "North District International Spotlight Project" for creating  "Kangqinglong (Yongkang Street, Qingtian Street, Longquan Street, commonly known as "Yongkang Business District")" living district and planned the "Kangqinglong Traveler Handbook", available in Chinese, English and Japanese for international tourists upon request.

Manuscript of "Life Style, Cultural and Creative Walks in Small Villages and Big Cities", donated by Chuan-Pin Chu. Travel in cities can be regarded as a study of lifestyles or cultural creativity. The city is like a living organism, and will continue to produce small villages with various cultures. This is the outline of Liang-Lou Han’s lecture in the "Eslite Forum".

Manuscript of "Slow Travel and Slow Life in South Village", donated by Chuan-Pin Chu. Liang-Lou Han, who lived in foreign countries for many years, realized that the more you travel, the more inward you will explore; the so-called travel is just an excuse to slow down life.

Manuscript of “Walking in South Village with the Little Happiness", donated by Chuan-Pin Chu. Liang-Lou Han often wandered around in the South Village. With different moods, she felt the "little certain happiness" that Murakami Haruki addressed. The article is included in Talking about Taipei.

Typescript of "the Taste of Beitou", donated by Chuan-Pin Chu. Liang-Lou Han spent her childhood in Beitou. This article evoked nostalgic memories of handmade big buns and malt sugars sold along the street. With the title of "The Flowing Taste of Childhood", this article is included in The Travel of the Lips: Liang-Lou Han’s Literature of Food and Art.

Manuscript of “Walking Notes of Mengjia’s Cultural Life", donated by Chuan-Pin Chu. Using "herbs" as an introduction, the characteristics of the "Herb Alley" next to the Mengjia Long Shan Temple were introduced, but it is a pity that this article lacked herbal knowledge so it could not be popularized. The article is included in The Aftertaste of Taipei.

Manuscript of “Keelung”, donated by Chuan-Pin Chu. This article introduced "Songxing Taiwanese Popiah", which set up stalls at midnight under Keelung Zhongshan Bridge. Loyal customers were attracted by its full ingredients and taste and were willing to wait. The title of the article is "Uncle Popiah at Midnight in Keelung", which was included in the activity brochure of the second Spring Taiwanese Popiah Culture Festival in 2008.

Manuscript of “Revisiting Fuqian Road in Tainan, Recalling an Old Dream”, donated by Chuan-Pin Chu. Liang-Lou Han once transferred to Tainan Girls' High School during her high school age. After school, she often found food in the area of ​​Fuqian Road in the Central and Western Districts, which heightened her instinct to explore the world.

Manuscript of "Liang-Lou Han’s Travel and Life Aesthetics with Slow Eating, Slow Moving and Slow Living", donated by Chuan-Pin Chu. Siena in Italy, Seville in Spain, and Kyoto in Japan are listed as the three "slow living cities" by Liang-Lou Han.

"Taipei Culture Award" trophy, provided by Chuan-Pin Chu. In 2007, Liang-Lou Han and the Chief Executive of the Trend Education Foundation, Chen Yizhen, co-founded the "South Village", holding more than 1,000 cultural events. Taipei’s characteristics were presented through culture, history, food, and geography. The 17th Taipei Cultural Awards was received in 2013.

Manuscript of "Literary Walks of the Cities", donated by Chuan-Pin Chu.Liang-Lou Han, who was addicted to travel, outlined the keywords of "literary tour" and "traveler guide" for the four cities of "Paris", "Venice", "Kyoto" and "London". She believed that one could enter the inner world of a city through literature.

Manuscript of "The Aesthetics of the Alleys", donated by Chuan-Pin Chu.Liang-Lou Han believed that only a mature and civilized city could give birth to the aesthetics of alleys and lanes. Her "Wide World and Long Time within the Small Alleys and Lanes - South Village Store Chronicles" was published in "Ink Literary Monthly" No. 47, 2007.

The newspaper Taipei Culture Passport, donated by Chuan-Pin Chu. According to the geographic location and characteristics of each district, Liang-Lou Han introduced Taipei’s walking maps with different themes and the plan of "four major areas and six major themes". Sponsored by the Department of Cultural Affairs, Taipei City Government, the passport was issued in 2008.

"South Village Vol.1" newspaper, donated by Chuan-Pin Chu.The newspaper introduced the walking routes, specialty shops and local artists in Shihda business district, presenting the development context of culture, history, cuisine and geography. Founded in 2007, the newspaper had 2 issues in total.

The newspaper "Wandering in the South Village— Written for the Birth of South Village", donated by Chuan-Pin Chu. Liang-Lou Han believed that the Shida business district is the backyard in Taipei people’s soul. It is a home where you can take a walk in the morning, wander at dusk, and meditate at midnight, so her idea of creating a "South Village" emerged. The article was published on June 21, 2007 in the Literary Supplement of China Times, and later included in Talking about Taipei.
